🍳 Method

  1. Sauté the Aromatics Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and cook until golden and fragrant.
  2. Build the Sauce Stir in red pepper flakes, tomato sauce, hot water, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the Fava Beans Gently stir in the fava beans. Simmer for another 5–10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Rest and Serve Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes. Serve warm with crusty bread or over rice.
