
🍚 Redneck Rice – Tony Chachere’s Style
🍳 Method
- Cook the Rice
- Prepare white rice according to package instructions and set aside.
- Brown the Ground Beef
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef with 1 tbsp of Tony’s seasoning.
- Drain and remove from skillet.
- Sauté the Sausage and Veggies
- In the same skillet, brown the smoked sausage.
- Add diced bell pepper, celery, and the white ends of the green onions.
- Season with another 1 tbsp of Tony’s seasoning.
- Cook until veggies are soft and sausage is golden.
- Combine Everything
- Add cooked rice and ground beef to the skillet.
- Stir in paprika and ½ cup of cheddar cheese.
- Mix well to combine.
- Bake and Finish
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve
- Top with sliced green onions, a drizzle of soy sauce, and sriracha for heat.
