🍳 Method
Sauté the meat: In a large pot, heat olive oil. Add beef and chicken pieces. Brown lightly for 5–7 minutes.
Add aromatics: Stir in onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
Spice it up: Add turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Pour in water or broth: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30–40 minutes until meat is tender.
Add rice and almonds: Stir in rice and slivered almonds. Cook for another 15–20 minutes until rice is soft.
Finish and serve: Adjust seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley or coriander. Serve hot with warm bread or dates on the side.
