🍲 Portuguese Bean Soup

Instructions:

Make the broth: In a large pot, add ham hocks and enough water to cover. Simmer for 1.5 hours until meat is tender.

Prepare the meat: Remove ham hocks, shred the meat, and discard bones. Return meat to the pot.

Add flavor: Stir in sausage, kidney beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes.

Simmer: Cook for 30 minutes until vegetables are soft.

Finish the soup: Add cabbage and macaroni. Simmer for another 15–20 minutes until pasta is cooked.

Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
