Fried Shrimp
Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup breadcrumbs or cornmeal

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Vegetable oil for frying

Ketchup or dipping sauce (optional)

Method:

Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for 20–30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Remove shrimp from the buttermilk and coat them well in the dry mixture.

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Fry shrimp in small batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
