🍞 Biscuits & Gravy
For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ cup cold butter (cubed)

¾ cup cold buttermilk
For the Sausage Gravy:

½ lb (225g) ground breakfast sausage

2 tbsp all-purpose flour
-
2 cups milk
-
Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: pinch of cayenne for heat
Method:
🔸 Biscuits:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cut in butter using a pastry cutter or fingers until crumbly.

Add buttermilk and mix gently until dough forms.

Roll out and cut into circles. Place on baking sheet.

Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
🔸 Gravy:

In a skillet, cook sausage until browned.

Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir well.

Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened (about 5 minutes).

Season with salt, pepper, and optional cayenne.
🔸 To Serve:

Cut a biscuit in half and pour hot gravy over it.
