🧄 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup long grain rice (cooked and cooled)

  • ½ lb (225g) ground beef or pork sausage

  • ½ lb (225g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • ½ lb (225g) crawfish tails (optional: use more shrimp if unavailable)

  • ½ cup chopped onion

  • ½ cup chopped bell pepper

  • ¼ cup chopped celery

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter

  • Optional: chicken liver, finely chopped (for traditional dirty rice flavor)
