
A Perfect Portuguese Pork Sandwich
👨🍳 Preparation Method
- Marinate the Pork In a bowl, mix pork slices with garlic, bay leaf, paprika, chili flakes, white wine, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
- Cook the Pork In a skillet over medium heat, add the pork and marinade. Cook until the pork is tender and the sauce reduces slightly (about 15–20 minutes).
- Toast the Bread Lightly toast the rolls or buns until warm and crisp.
- Assemble the Sandwich Place the pork slices inside the roll. Spoon some of the sauce over the meat. Add mustard or piri-piri sauce if desired.
- Serve Hot Enjoy with fries or a cold Portuguese beer!
