- Prep the Sardines
- Clean and salt the sardines. Let them rest for 30–40 minutes.
- Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
- Coat and Season
- Lightly dredge sardines in flour.
- Place them on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar.
- Sprinkle with chopped garlic, bay leaves, and black pepper.
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake until golden and crispy—about 25–30 minutes.
- Serve
- Pair with tomato rice, boiled potatoes, or a fresh salad.
- A squeeze of lemon and crusty bread make it even better.
