🔥 Instructions

  1. Prep the Sardines
    • Clean and salt the sardines. Let them rest for 30–40 minutes.
    • Rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  2. Coat and Season
    • Lightly dredge sardines in flour.
    • Place them on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar.
    • Sprinkle with chopped garlic, bay leaves, and black pepper.
  3. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Bake until golden and crispy—about 25–30 minutes.
  4. Serve
    • Pair with tomato rice, boiled potatoes, or a fresh salad.
    • A squeeze of lemon and crusty bread make it even better.
