Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes (starchy ones like Russets work best)
  • 1 small onion (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 egg
  • 2–3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Optional Add-ins:

  • Chopped herbs (parsley, chives, dill)
  • Grated cheese
  • Garlic powder or paprika

  1. Grate the potatoes using a box grater or food processor. If using onion, grate it too.
  2. Squeeze out excess moisture using a clean towel or cheesecloth. This helps them crisp up.
