
Bitoque – (Portuguese style Steak & Fried Egg in a Garlic Butter Sauce)
👨🍳 Instructions:
- Season the steaks: Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Let them marinate for 1 hour or overnight.
- Sear the steaks: Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks for 1–2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- Make the sauce: Lower heat, pour wine into the skillet to deglaze. Add butter and garlic, stir until melted. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Fry the eggs: In a separate pan, fry eggs sunny-side up. Season lightly.
- Plate and serve: Place steak on plate, spoon sauce over it, top with fried egg. Serve with white rice, fries, and garnish with cilantro.
