
Homemade Bread Bowls Recipe
👩🍳 Instructions
- Activate the yeast In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Make the dough Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let it rise Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the bowls Punch down the dough and divide into 4–6 equal pieces. Shape each into a tight ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Second rise Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Brush each dough ball with egg wash for a golden crust. Bake for 25–30 minutes until deep golden brown.
- Hollow out Cool slightly, then cut off the top and scoop out the inside to create a bowl. Save the tops for dipping!
