Prep the batter: Beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add cornstarch and mix well. Gradually beat in eggs and yolk until fully incorporated. Stir in heavy cream until velvety.
Bake it hot: Preheat oven to 428°F (220°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and bake for 28 minutes until the top is deeply golden and slightly burnt.
Cool & chill: Let it cool at room temp, then refrigerate overnight to set. Slice and serve chilled for a dense texture—or room temp for a lighter bite.
