🍳 How They’re Made
- Activate yeast in warm milk with a bit of sugar.
- Mix dough with flour, eggs, butter, and flavorings.
- Let rise until doubled in size (about 1–2 hours).
- Shape into rounds or triangles—some Azorean cooks even shape them over their knees!
- Fry in hot oil until golden.
- Coat in sugar or cinnamon sugar while warm.
