Sardine Stir Fry – South Indian Style

🔥 Method

  1. Prep the sardines Drain the sardines and marinate with salt, cayenne, paprika, and turmeric.
  2. Sauté aromatics Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Toss in curry leaves and sauté briefly.
  3. Cook the onions Add chopped onions and sauté until light brown. Sprinkle a pinch of salt to speed up browning.
  4. Add sardines Gently stir in the marinated sardines. Since they’re pre-cooked, stir-fry for just 1–2 minutes.
  5. Finish and serve Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot with rice or flatbread.
