
Shrimp Mozambique – Traditional
🔥 Instructions
- Season the shrimp with dry spices, olive oil, and refrigerate for 1–4 hours.
- Sauté onion and garlic in butter until fragrant. Add bay leaves, saffron, and hot sauce.
- Pour in the beer, simmer for 3–5 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add remaining olive oil, stir constantly.
- Add shrimp, cook until pink (about 10 minutes for shell-on; flip halfway if peeled).
- Finish with lemon juice and cilantro, stir and let sit briefly.
- Serve hot over white rice or with fried potatoes. Spoon plenty of sauce on top!
